I hope we get a new keeper, Mignolet is just too inconsistent and panics the defence, we need a keeper who will collect the ball on crosses/corners and command the box, which a real weak point for our team.
We should go after Marwin Hitz from Augsburg, he played really well against us and was commanding on anything in the air, he's at a smaller German club, so we should be able to tempt him with Klopps contacts/influence, he is 28, so as a keeper should be at his peak over the next 5 year.
we conceded yet again from a set piece, I bet people were thinking here we go, when crystal palace scored their 10th corner of the season, joint most with tottenham? Nothing really mignolet could do about it, not defending him, but I definitely think he needs competition, or, yes he has to go. haven't we signed a keeper before on the evidence of one performance before? bogdan, I'm really not keen on that augsburg keeper, augsburg haven't conceded that much, not largely because of him but due to their compact team as a whole, as we discovered, and klopp knew, before and during the 1st and 2nd legs.

Can I just add, I thought sakho was poor in the air, we almost conceded our 3rd goal from sakho's poor aerial ability to deal with crosses this season. He was good outfield, but what should have been a goal for emmanuel adebayor was too easy. Liverpool Can't be expected to close down the crosser and every cross therefore we need players who will not leave mignolet a sitting duck. It's far too dangerous for mignolet to come and catch, or punch every cross from open play.

I like Sakho, but I am always terrified when he go's for a header, I have never seen a player injure so many team mates by headbutting them !!!
I agree about Bogdan and buying on good performances against us, like Benteke always dominated against us so we bought him, but Hitz has pedigree over a few years winning the bundesliga, I would not necessarily sell Mignolet (he has just been given a new deal, so its either to keep him or retain his value to sell), I just think he needs more quality pushing him, I think Bogdan will be let go, so will need replacing, Danny Ward looks like a good prospect but too inexperienced to rely on long term as a replacement for Mignolet.
thanks for your comment I'm glad you share some of my thoughts is hitz good at 1v1s though? that's something mignolet hasn't been great at and I imagine Hitz to be the same?

It's going to be the same old story where we start bidding 6 to 8 million for a 30 million player till we loose out on a decent signing.
The sooner people realise that as long we have the hopeless transfer committee all I expect is 4 mediocre players and 1 player that will be nothing more than a squad player as our recruitment is boxxxcks.

We need to stop spending big money on 20 or 30 million pound players, we need to be looking at the rite players to fit a system that we can turn into top players then maybe sell them on for s profit, buying big money players for me doesn't work apart from the odd few...

We have been saying this since Stretch hung up his boots

I think we will see this from Klopp, he has never been a manager who buys 'big names', he buys players to fit his system, I just hope FSG/transfer committee keep out of it and let Klopp buy who he wants, I'm sure Klopp took over with the first and last say on transfers, will be an interesting summer.

I am also hoping we bring back Lazar Marković and gives him a chance, as I think he will fit in well with Klopps system, also Ings will do well.
I'm sure Klopp took over with the understanding first and last say on transfers, will be an interesting summer. I think Leicester show you do not have to buy 4 superstar players every summer to do well in the Premier League, a team will always do better.
