I know the source is generally garbage, but the figures sound massively exaggerated. This article reckons the new stand will create 1000 jobs once it is open!!!

Well they'll need someone to clean it! But it does sound a lot as do all these reports about how many jobs will be created.

the jobs are involved in the whole of the regeneration of the anfield area which the stand is a very major part along with new shops ,houses, hotels etc

We'll I think you should go up there. You lot can go every other week where as us day trippers only go once in a while so deserve a good seat with a good view. Anyone would think you own the place!

It’s a mickey mouse monument to financial and business cowardice and a lost opportunity. It’s not being built for the club’s fans, but for the corporate sector to gift their mute prawn sandwich totting brigade who for the main part know as much about football as those who commissioned this ugly and tasteless monster.
