I agree about Reina and Torres. They were both struggling for their best form when they were sold, and as you say both their careers have gone downhill since leaving.

May be your memory isn't that good wilkij but I remember Reina in his final season and it wasn't good, easy shots were sneaking in, he was sulking as all his spanish friends Xabi, Arbeloa, Torres etc left the club. He was at the Mignolet level or even worse for some games as Mignolet still has some fantastic games in him. I think it was the right decision to get rid of a bad egg. As for Torres, he had to go because everyone has a price no matter who you are so 50m was a phenomenal fee.

selling them was a good decision but it doesnt suggest replacements were any good.
