Time for Klopp to step things up a notch methinks.

He's had it somewhat easy 'till now. Everyone likes him, he had no pre-season with the players and he of course inherited them.

However, he has now been in charge for around half the season and has made some key decisions: no major additions in Jan; sticking with Migs inc. new contract; Lucas at CB; Origi preferred to Benteke; making public statements about what Sturridge and Benteke need to do; the penalty takers yesterday.

He won't have the luxury of time next season. In the final part of this season and in the summer transfer dealings he will need to show some good decisions backed up with RESULTS. Good performances alone will not do.

would have fantastic to win at wembley truly , but it would have papered over massive cracks , maybe hopefully wembley was a watershed games and klopp now knows who he can trust and who has the bottle and heart to stay at liverpool , yes he cant chase the whole squad , but some have to go , but some must stay IE origi must stay and hopefully danny ings recovers properly he must stay , but the likes of benteke , moreno , any of the centre backs and migno who is very bad then great then very bad which isnt good enough , klopp has the biggest job since shankly to rejuvenate sadly .

Personally, I don't think his 'key decisions' have been all bad.

He didn't want to get ripped off in January so didn't buy anyone. Good for me.

Sticking with Migs isn't such a bad thing as we only have Bogdan as backup or an untested Ward. New contract is just value protection or to keep him as back up.

Lucas has played well at CB and at a time when we've had most of our CB's injured and Ilori doesn't look like he can cut it.

Benteke has been way off form so playing Origi is no problem for me especially as he looks to offer more.

I've also no problems with his public statements of what players need to do. Unlike Rodgers who kept quiet, at least we know that HE knows what needs doing.

The order of penalty takers I agree with.

Give him a break. He has a free pass this year and there'll be no pressure on his job next as you can't change everything in one summer. I have confidence that he'll do some good things here if he's given the right backing and allowed to get on with it.

Always said wether he stays or gets sacked will depend on his judgement in tbd next 3 transfer windows, not holding much hope judgement wise after him giving that thing in goal another 5 years tho...

It will revolve around what he is given to work with in the summer it is as simple as that.

This is not the German league (bargains appear easier to find within by clubs) and one would presume that we will see Euro lottery type money being spent by 2 or 3 of the big boys with new managers.

If there are a number who won't go/can't be moved on and he gets a small budget I won't be expecting deluded miracles.

I'm not having a go or even sayng he's done anything wrong. Just saying that because of the timing of his appointment, he's had the fortune in some ways of almost a whole season to get used to the club, the league and the players. A pretty good, long free pass without anyone able to get on his back.

But the heat is rising and next season will be a different story. Other clubs are catching up financially and some are already doing better with less resources.

yes good points especially about clubs being better with less resources, he's gonna have to hit the ground running at the start of next season otherwise he will be under serious pressure...

It takes time for a manager to find his feet at a club - and the Liverpool team he inherited is an absolute train wreck. There's no point putting time frames on a new manager who hasn't even begun to weed out the players who need to be moved, and likewise bring in his own personal.

The cup loss yesterday was a bit of a dampener, but the OP is way over the top. Just be glad we have a top manager in - give him the time he needs and we'll be OK.

Relax Mighty.

Every manager deserves an initial 2 years to display where he's heading with the club. He's only been here for a couple of months, judge him after 1 1/2 year etc. Besides, he has inherited a terrible team, the only players I rate in our starting 11 is Coutinho and Sturridge. He has made good decisions based on what we have. It's unfortunate we didn't win the league cup - but with this team it's a surprise we reached the final.

Not sure really modern football is a results business and very hard edged it's changed last five years or so. You may think a manager should be given time but the business is no longer like that. So as a minimum we are entitled to comment on performance to date I think
