Our last few penalty shhoot outs have been pretty decent though so it's a strange one. maybe reflective of the dip in the quality of our squad, both mental and technical. I'm talking this season's. Can't see how our quality can dip in that time?

fair point. I couldn't remember the other pen shoot outs from this season but just read that we got through on pens in the semi and an earlier round.
Maybe it's just one of those days. just can't win them all.

Can't see how our quality can dip in that time? The players were obviously more tired in taking the pens than they were in previous rounds. But I don't think it's a dip in quality because they are the same players, probably right about a dip mentally, as there was much more pressure. I don't want to discuss about the shootout much because I don't want people to think I'm making excuses for the overall defeat.

Well in the earlier rounds we met weaker teams than today.
Then it worked out despite the fact some of those pens were equally poor as today. Good keeper to beat today and we failed.
Migs did OK though on the pens against him, and made up a bit for that disastrous miss at their goal.
