It's a winnable competition for Liverpool. But as I've said many a time before on this forum, scoring is king, napoli, lazio, valencia, tottenham some of the bigger teams perhaps if we progress to the latter rounds. Do I think we can score enough goals in the Europa League to win it, I hope so, but I don't believe so. Klopp will be surpassing expectation if he makes it to the semi finals given the lack of quality squad depth IMO. I personally think he's already done very well to make one of the most competitive league cup competitions since 2008.
Hypothetically if Liverpool lost the capital cup final and were denied a Europa league final, would you question the decision to not bring in a player in the difficult January market or not? Because I feel there would be some forlorn faces if this was the scenario.

Some very good teams left in the Europa league this season. A lot of teams will take it seriously with Champions league football available too. I just hope we take it seriously, as far as I'm concerned it should be our top priority. We should beat Augsburg, hope we get a good draw next round.

We can win this with the players coming back from injury and hitting form. There are a few who have been missing for 6 or 7 games or more. At this point in the season with not much else to play for it is more important than the league for what comes with it.
A CL place for winning this is a big big carrot and yes there are some good sides left in it but we can win this.

With Sturridge and co coming back from injury, it'll be an injection of fresh legs and impetus. Keep them fit and we have a chance. With CL as added incentive, the Europa league is no longer just a side show.

its our home form that will be our undoing very poor at home this season for some reason conceding too many set pieces, late goals, not scoring enough at home, only scored 16 goals in the league this season at home pretty average.

Another thought on the Europa league, despite having great leaders in Gerrard and suarez, we've failed to win the europa league since 2001 this would be a massive achievement, it is for any english club. It could be a road to success. Klopp is going to have to pick his battles still even if it is the knockout rounds to help get us through.
