It started to collapse under Dalglish no one will ever convince me otherwise and I went to every game almost home and away them days. To be fair to Dalglish the truth was the club was badly run also you cant blame dalglish for not addressing the stadium which was outdated back then. Thats the biggest error the clubs made and the reason we will never get back to what we once were yes good points Stanley, Robinson and Smith have a lot to answer to for not building from a position of strength, United never looked a gift horse in the mouth, they seen the Premiership and the untold riches it brought and went all out to make sure they were the ones in the right position to exploite it's riches, never looked back since...

So Kenny is not to blame.
That job interview was going so well until I realized I was fukked up on acid in the middle of a cornfield naked and talking to a scarecrow.

I would be quite happy to be 2nd right now. His successors, especially Souness are much more to blame. Do you think Fergie should be blamed because he left an ageing team? Probably yes, but his successors had all the resources to make it good, so you cannot really blame him. Managers will always try to bring their own players

Suarez Stan, and although I loved Barnes I don't actually think it was that close to be honest. The consistency of the level Suarez attained and the amount of time in a game he performs at that level, is breathtaking. Whilst Barnes had flashes of it, much of which was enough to win us games, I don't think he did it through the whole 90 minutes, and let's be honest look at the team he played in compared to Luis. Once he left it showed the complete bangers we were and are

Once he left it showed the complete bangers we were and are intetesting points you make, thing is for me was that Barnes was a better footballer than Suarez, like I said before the man had no real weaknesses yet Suarez did, Barnes was both footed and could score any type of goal, he was fantastic in the air and could defend and help out at the back, he was the perfect player. I think Suarez was a really good player for us but for me he went missing in the big games of his Liverpool career and that's a big reason why he wasn't a better player than Digger...

Managers will always try to bring their own players That ignores the context of the situation Liverpool had not suddenly risen to second under dalglish we were undisputed top club in Britain and very near the best Europe the trajectory under dalglish was downward and the club never recovered. I agree you can't blame everything for the clubs fall on dalglish the club was badly managed and unamitious a situation that exists still today
