Yes I have heard the club are going to rethink however they should not be reducing that increase but reducing prices they are already too high and above the market when you look at comparable clubs in the region.

even if they were to reduce the ticket prices there would still be fans unhappy, all FSG would do is reduce the money for transfers and get it back that way, fans would then start moaning that the Club should be getting top class players to secure this stupid 4th is everything mentality which has now been adopted by the masses...

That is the worry and maybe what Ayre was eluding to when he said fans should be careful what they wish for. But if ticket sales are as low in the revenue pecking order as most say, I can't see it having a massive effect on our transfer budget.

I'd rather cheaper tickets than spending fans' money on benteke and mignolet transfers each year

Spangles, Klopp has a proven track record of success with working on a small budget and as others have said the fans are as sick to death of the amateur night transfer policy and useless overpriced Primadonnas the last 5 years as anything else. The players we have are completely disconnected from the vast majority of fans at the games. The frustrations now being shown are vented up anger related to many problems with modern football.
It's time this was looked at as much as any ticket pricing. The club is running along like an accident waiting to happen. We don't want superstars, we want the right players and as Leicester and Spurs are showing there's a difference between the two.
I have more faith in Klopp putting an honest, hard working bunch together even if it takes longer than most of the managers out there and I think there a lot of our supporters who feel the same.

good post you have some valid points about buying the right players, unfortunately a lot of fans like the expensive glory players and to have them you have to charge 77 quid a ticket...

Match day revenue is I think 25% of the overall, so it is significant. Depends how much the increase will bring. My question is, if we were fighting to win the league, ie, in Leicester's position for example, would the protest have been that much? I don't think so.

Nothing to do with fickleness, people will pay if they feel the value is there, otherwise they will protest as they still want the product.

So we need a tracker type ticket pricing then? Low when we're doing shitte and high when we're doing good. There you all go I've just solved everything And if revenue from tickets make up 25% of total, why are so many saying it's an insignificant amount and we could afford to let fans in for nothing?
