Fans of all clubs all over the country should refuse to renew their season ticket applications (especially our fans, because they probably get the least VFM of anyone). Cancel their subscriptions to Sky/BT wherever possible and do so before they get the chance to partly fund the obscene wages of people like Lovren, Sakho, Mignolet, Sturridge, and countless others. Those who are saying "Oh what's the point of walking out after 77 minutes you have already paid for the whole game" are deliberately missing the point and probably don't attend matches regularly in any event.

Today, people at our ground should have been able to walk out without criticism and demand a refund on their tickets simply because of the latest in a series of garbage performances. They were led to believe by sales staff that they would witness good football and a realistic chance of winning really prestigious trophies: instead, they end up with a remote chance of winning the Carling Cup, endless visual dirges against non-entities in the Europa League and (hopefully) a mid-table position in the EPL.

If I paid £350 for, say, the latest Hotpoint washing machine including import duty then received an Acme plastic toy which barely functioned and proved unsellable, Trading Standards would be on the case straight away.

Liverpool FC have been getting away with an enhanced version of this scandal for years. Now they have the barefaced cheek to increase costs for thousands of loyal fans, whilst employing a Tory-style PR agent to spin some cr@p that the majority will benefit??

I understand what you're saying but the washing machine analogy doesn't work.

It's entertainment (I use that word lightly) if you bought a DVD of your favourite film you wouldn't be able to get a refund because the film was garbage with a load of actors you didn't like produced by someone you don't like who used cheap special effects.

By not renewing your seasons tickets it means that the stadium will be filled by a bunch of people who don't have the club at heart. Rich Irishmen or Norwegian businesmen. Anfield will always be full. They know that. That's why they can do what they do.

If just those 15000 who walked out can sustain a long term boycott of buying tickets it could work and at worst only 30-50% would replace them but not all. Only then would FSG take it seriously.

Another walkout would just be pointless, it hurts the club because only a fraction of fans know who FSG are much less the rest of the sport industry, and they would just change their brand name like they did after a year if buying the club .
