I think you'll find that it was the players that had been here for a while that struggled the most. I recall an interview with Gerrard where he mentioned that Rafa believes in taking the emotions out of the game so players can concentrate on the tactics. (I speak under correction)

Thinking back Treps, that is very true. Some of his starting line ups and substitutions were mental, regardless if the player, like yossi, are playing well. But I still think Rafa is the man to lead us next year, you will never change me!!

yea but a valid one none the less i think. i know players have to be cool and focused about their job, but that passion needs to be there for the big games, for when the sh*t is hitting the fan, and when your legs are gone and youre running on empty. imagine walking off a pitch after giving your all in a CL final and being told what you did wrong? cant be good.
