What are we doing?

Arsenal got their stadium ages ago and then had zero money to spend for about 10years.

Man city and Chelsea have billionaire owners.

West Ham walked into a free stadium built for the Olympics.

Spurs have no debt. with a smart owners who will rent out the stadium to nfl music and tons of other things that happen in London.

We just don't have the money you want to spend on players and a new stadium

which is why the Premier League has become a dead competition for the likes of ourselves, Everton, Stoke City and West Broms, never going to get relegated and at the same time never impact the business end either, Through whatever reason including the ones you have stated we simply cannot compete or keep up with those Clubs now...

good stuff Stanley, I wish we still had Moores and he wasn't the best but you knew he had the Clubs best interests at heart not like this feller in now.
talking to an Everton mate about there proposed takeover, told him to be careful what he wished for as the Club would never be there own again and they would lose there local identity to a global faceless fanbase, Bill Kenwright is a bit like Moores in that you can see he genuinely cares about the Club

If Moores had the club's interest at heart, why did he then sell to H&G and not DIC?

DIC pulled out in the end.

That's what's been said anyway

well this is the mistake he made, apart from earning an extra 10 million quid for selling to the yanks he probably thought the Club in Yankee hands was better than middle eastern, I don't really know, what I do know is that he did love the club and still does he just made a massive error which he has since admitted.

I think he loved the extra 10m quids more than LFC, so he is not much better in my eyes. Everybody wants FSG to pour in their own money, at least they are yet to fork out a penny while Moores through it to the dogs for 10m

They pulled out because they didn't want to get in a price war once a deal was agreed in principle

Would much rather have a Moores or Kenwright type owner who actually love and care about the club even tho they are skint in football terms than Yank or Arab owners who have no love of the Club, no connection with the City or its people and can't even be bothered turning up to watch games...
