Would have been interesting to hear how FSG sold in their "project" to Klopp.

No doubt they couldn't have failed mentioning to him just how much money they had spent on the squad to get it ready to challenge for the PL title again.

Wow, what a surprise for Klopp as he later revealed just how poor condition this squad was in. frown

Pretty much doubt if the "project" actually exists anymore. Klopp would not have signed up with such an idiotic system in place.

First nail in the Klopp coffin for me with news Klopp has given this clown a new contract. For me Klopp is not acting in the best interests of the football club and I don't want to hear this Shiite about it will help get more money for him when we sell. I think Klopp is starting to struggle and his judgement is being found out, playing with no striker and leaving your best hope of a goal on the bench until 10 mins to go now giving our worst keeper since Peggy a new 5 year contract, the man is leaving himself open to serious questioning for me.

It's not Mignolet's fault Man Utd didn't want to attack or create any chances. He had no chance with Rooney's goal and thats the only shot on target they had.

No need to have a go at him for the sake of it.

No but you're missing the point, if your keeper isn't making a save all match, then something fundamental is wrong.

I doubt if it's a huge contract. Probably a mediocre payrise which means we don't lose a £9m player for nothing. Decent guy to have on the bench next year...

Or your opposition is crap (which they were), or your defense is having a decent game (which they did).

You probably aren't going to go through a season with even 5 matches where your keeper doesn't face at least 1 shot on target, without that 1 shot being a goal. Trust me, it's fundamentally wrong, for your team not to be facing at least 3 shots on target, depending on how poor the shooting is from the other team and the positions the other team have to shoot from. It's a feature of Barcelona's play too when they operate in the 433. You can afford for your midfield to protect the back 4, all match without there being trouble.

So if a team batters another and wins 6-0 and the opposition doesn't have a shot there is something fundamentally wrong? That's a very strange view to have.

If your goalkeeper doesn't make a save all game and your getting good results then your doing everything right defensively.

You're wasting your time trying to reason with this juvenile wind up merchant. Don't take the bait.

It's 11v11, it's not normal to not face any less than 1 shot on target per match, so yes fundamentally wrong if your midfield have to protect your defence all match to stop them conceding. I'll take that, strange view to have. good conversation
