Pretty sure Liverpool FC are considering that he is contractually bound to perform his contract if his injuries are genuine fine but if he is pretending there is a legal case to end his contract obviously I don't know but if Liverpool are not considering that I would be amazed

Nice lad, excellent player....when, and if only....but sorry. He's breaking the trades description act now after all this time.

Didn't realise he was on ONE HUNDRED AND FIFTY THOUSAND POUNDS A WEEK either FFS, and for doing WHAT exactly?! mad

How very nice of you but I thought you'd decided, even know he's faking it?

I don't know whether he is faking or not but clearly there are legitimate questions to be asked especially given the support the club has given him and the lack of detail of exactly what his problem is.

He has had more injuries than the British army had on the first day of the Battle of the Somme.

This thread is like groundhog day.

The simple facts are that we are paying a huge amount of money to a player that seldom plays.

In his time at the club he has been unfit for more than 50 per cent of the games we have played.

This was happening regularly before Klopp arrived and it has been worse since his arrival.

The difference now is that it looks like Klopp isn't going to entertain him.

When you are out injured and the manager states publically that he doesn't know what's wrong with you then something doesn't add up.

These players are subject to very close medical examination all the time so klopps statement will have been made following seeing reports on Sturridge as to his injury (or lack of) it's very telling his statement to the press.

Daniel Sturridge is Liverpool's joint 3rd highest scorer this season despite only making 6 appearances. grin

So Sturridge says he's fit to play and Klopp says he won't field him until he proves himself.

Sounds like the player really wants to sit on the bench.

If Klopp felt he was never going to be able to get over this then he'd let him play when we are in the hole as this wonder sub and not care wouldn't he?

Every one of us is frustrated by this, but let's have some logic to your arguments and Stan, no football is not like everyday life at all because when you or I are employed our employer does not have the added dimension of our worth bolted on in the form of a huge potential fee on us being deemed surplus and put in the shop window.

This dimension is huge and in many cases the sole reason so many footballers probably don't have contract paid up early or at the very least negotiated down.

Government is not reason; it is not eloquent; it is force. Like fire, it is a dangerous servant and a fearful master.

You may be right about the club having to think about his sell in fee but that does not make his behaviour right does it ? He is not the only one it seems this is becoming more popular among premiership footballers taking the money and doing nothing, Whats the betting once sturridges contract comes up for renewal his injuries suddenly clear up ? All hail the medical miracle ! We are better off without people like that and personally I would take the hit on his sell on long term the club will be better off if people don't want to play for the club and fulfil their obligations then clear off as far as I am concerned
