Ive never hated any liverpool player before until this belgian keeper came to us. I knew after the first few mistake that this guy was a disaster. Im sick of some people trying to defend him saying things like "he is a nice person and cares about the club". Them things dont make a club successful and we will never be successful as long as hes there.
Mistake after mistake, every game i actually wait just to see what F up he will do every week. If hes kept here at liverpool i can see what direction this club wants to move in. We can sit there and be a mid-table team with mid-table players or we can put in some effort and put in that extra 5 million for quality. He is a decent shot stopper and thats it, in terms of where he ranks against other keepers in the league hes not even in the top 10 and some teams 2nd goalkeeper is better than him. Only way hes gonna go is if the fans start getting frustrated with him at games.
You build a team with a core and a spine from the back. We cant build that because the very 1st person isnt good enough.

Rule one of a keeper: DON'T GET BEAT AT THE NEAR POST

If the two keepers were swapped we would of won last night.

He has to go.

Seem like Mignolet can only keep a clean sheet when he is being protected by the defence/doesn't face a shot on target in a good area of the field. Which is not good enough. Though the centre backs played well overall, as BT showed kolo had no one to mark, ramsey runs in behind sakho, mignolet beaten at his near post. The answer is sakho and kolo need to watch the runners better, get lovren back, nevertheless Mignolet should have saved at his near post, nothing wrong with his positioning, just his execution.

Would like to point out Campbell played 3 passes in 3 of arsenal's big moments in the final third, leading to 2 of the goals, playing ramsey in first off. Just wondered if Ibe could have done better with his passing to get lallana behind, or if lallana needed to be better with his movement, as ramsey was. Tbf tho lallana's movement wasn't terrible, just wondered if it could and should have been that slight bit better to help Ibe, because Ibe can pick a pass, and we know he can score a goal, make direct runs. Anyway really pleased with the direct passing from all the team, real purpose, fantastic.

I dont know if anyone else has realized this in recent weeks but when lovren has been playing hes been sending the ball into row z sometimes when the ball is near the keeper. Its because he doesnt trust him. Not trusting mignolet has actually improved him as a player. It may seem a bit over the top but i remember a few games ago, mignolet was calling for the ball and he was coming off his line and lovren cleared the ball out for a throw-in simply because he cannot trust him.

It's not over the top, you're right the central defence don't trust simon. Only way to develop trust, is for them to get confidence in mignolet, I think it's too late, we need to avoid giving him that 5 year deal and make a decisive move in the market.

If you are saying so, then Klopp has no option but to execute.

Signing mignolet on a new deal would have me 10 times more worried than signing caulker on loan. Although i can understand and make sense of the caulker transfer i couldnt understand how anyone could sit there and justify keeping this abysmal goalkeeper.
Anyone else remember David james for us? And the mistakes he use to make? Reminds me of a worse version now.
If i was that kid ward and i didnt get a few games between now and the end of the season i would move. Because what chance will that kid ever have for us if mignolet can cost us so many points and him sitting there on the bench after a decent loan spell in scotland.

Agreed Sixty, and you can hardly stall on a new contract with him being about all we have available for the second-half of the season. klopp was in a very difficult spot with this one, we'll just have to see how it pans out in the summer.

The general consensus though from ex-players comments and the few decent journalists who reported on the game was that he cost us 3 points as if we needed telling smile

This really is a priority for May.

yes but surely there has to be some sort of code of conduct where in the name of sportsmanship you don't fatally damage teams in your league deliberately and intentionality with clowns like Miignolet. The other clubs have done nothing to us to warrant this feller...
