we were poor, but newcastle were decent. when did we all stop accepting some teams play well against you and some dont. they did today. we'll have more of these in klopp's tenure. the trick is not to have them often.

Not at all acceptable but Klopp isn't completely at fault. The players need to be held accountable but after the Southampton game. I don't see why he changed things.

Yes teams can play well but your still allowed to beat them.....wouldnt it be better to say toon played very well but we were even better. Thats how winning is done

clearly we all think this game was a nailed on win if we play average. we were poor, they were decent. if you can't give the team a bad performance, its no wonder there confidence dissipates so quickly. i'd much rather strike this result and performance as a bad day in the office, than run the rule on everything, because they're not bad players, and the line-up wasn't poor. we just never got started. give newcastle credit, realise they made a mockery of our play, and deserved to win.

There may well have been meltdown under Rodgers if that defeat had occurred after him being 3 years in charge, having spent hundreds of millions and on the back of similar results/poor performances. There would probably not have been meltdown under Rodgers if such a defeat had come after him only being 2 months in charge and having had no transfer windows to work with.

'We should have made a signing or two in the last couple of transfer windows.' Vish

Obviously no defeat that LFC suffers is acceptable but lacklustre displays resulting in defeats do happen unfortunately. Whilst a 2-0 defeat to Newcastle is disappointing its no where near as bad as losing 6-1 at Stoke City!!!
