I've read and talked so much about the current owners selling up but I haven't read anything about what type of owners fans want?

For example:

1. Nationality - Does it matter if they are not English/British?
2. Football - Does it matter if they are not Football fans or even have an interest in football
3. Sport - Do they have to be sports minded or can they just be good businessmen who are passionate about winning, like abramavich who now seems like angel compared to other owners.
4.Do you expct them to take an interest in the games and attend or take a back seat.
5. Would it be a personal investment or a large business investment like Virgin for example.

I believe the people who campaigned for the current owners to sell up should now switch their attentions to targeting suitable owners and persuading them to start negitiations to buys the club.

Just imagine if all the focus was changed from the current ...."Yanks out...onto the people or person who we want as custodians of our beloved club.

I don't thnk we are in any position to be selective nor any big club. Unfortuentely money talks in the modern game more so than ever. If we are to rebuild the ground and the team we need someone prepared to invest hundreds of millions.

I wish it were not so but it is and we need to live with that.

If I had to chose I would like to see a consortium or big organisation such as DIC were rather than an individual.

ok so we have a starting view and this is DIC, as liverpool fans we do have views and they do matter, thats what makes us stand out from the rest of the fans in the world.

the sheik who owns dic would be an interesting option. dic has limited funds, you can't say that he has that (though i don't know how the financial crises has affected him)

I agree with swede, but what pisses me off is that Rick Parry advised David Moores to sell to the yanks. What a pratt.
Where is he now? Spending the £4.2m pay off he received when he left the club. It's wrong.

surely a sole owner would be better, just look at how the yanks fell out...........but as stanley park says, we are in no position to be selective about who we get.

i know parry wouldn't have the guts to go back to anfield not after everyone knows how much he was paid off.

Why are the current owners selling, is it because they have been hounded out?

If it is then we are in a position to decided who buys the club.

I think someone like Randy Lerner from Villa but with a good deal more cash. We need one owner. Not 2,3 or any sort of consortium. 1 person who has football first and making money second (which they will obviously want to do). We need to be run like a proper club again with none of this media cr@p that Rafa is playing against the current owners. I know its a lot to ask for and will be difficult to get, but its what I would like.
