Well coutinho pretty much walks past anyone, firmino is brilliant at finding space with a great touch, hendo would out work any of them and lucas statistically out performs masch as a dm, so yeah im being serious
Did you ever watch Mascherano play for us? His work rate is absolutely phenomenal, miles better than Henderson's and his positional aware is much better too. Stats don't mean anything, Stewart Downing was great statistically, nobody can be of the option that Lucas is a better central midfielder than Mascherano.
Alonso is a master of keeping the ball, hence why he is still the dominating player in Bayern's central midfield.
Coutinho has brilliant games yes but he is no where near the consistent level needed of a truly top player.
The Liverpool midfield of Alonso, Mascherano and Gerrard was the best in Europe at the time, we've never replaced any of them unfortunately.
