Maybe we should ignore any future posts that end with "thank you for reading" as we know it will be complete rubbish!

He has a way to go before he posts more rubbish than I do, but in my own defence I'd argue that I'm influenced by, and responding as befits the forum norm. We should all remember that when we point our finger there's three fingers pointing back at us.

To everyone,

We beat a poor team 1-0 and controlled the game for just about 90 minutes. We created chances, but we weren't fluid or rampant like at our best.

They played 11 men behind the ball and we comfortably edged them out 1-0.

This is a poor team we played in the group stage of Europe's 2nd tier competition.

I'll say when we've played well and tonight we didn't, we played alright - that's it.

Sakho 9? He played some nice passes but he barely had anything to do defensively all game.

Crap? We played OK and got the job done. We beat an awful team 1-0 and you want me to say we played really well?

I'll say right now Klopp did a good job tonight and we did well to get the result.

Joe Allen who I have talked up in the past was one of the worst players on the pitch tonight.

Rubin Kazan is no easy team especially when they play at home in an European match.

Some stats:

Since losing to Atletico Madrid in February 2013, Kazan have lost just one of 12 home games in Europe, winning eight.

No English club has ever avoided defeat to Kazan in Russia - with Tottenham Hotspur losing 1-0, Chelsea 3-2 and Wigan Athletic 1-0.

So before you go posting your post match reviews, do your research instead of shooting off.

Away win in Europe, clean sheet, dominated the game for pretty much 80mins, should and could have scored more goals and thats an average performance?

They parked the bus and were playing for 0-0 we were obviously going to control the game.

We did OK and got the result. We were very wasteful and lacked quality today though.

If we played well we would have cut through this Rubin and had the game done and dusted. In the end we edged past them albeit controlling the game.

We were average in front of goals otherwise quite good in poor conditions with I think about 20 shots with a number on target. They hardly worried Mignolet. First away win in Europe for a long time, the new manager keeps on showing his class compared to your Brenda, have you noticed?
