There is therefore the possibility that we all got swept away with the hype that created Kloppmania, probably because we were so desperate to get out of the rut that we had found ourselves in. The reality might be very different and bitter - Klopp may not be able to work wonders or he may need longer than we hoped.

Only time will tell.

I wouldn't start worrying yet as its only Klopps 3rd game in charge. The team is still predominantly BRs and their football brains have been thoroughly Rodgered.

Klopp needs the January window to get a few of his own signings and get rid of any players that he thinks that will not fit his game plan. The rest of this season or even till xmas is a free ride for Klopp imo. FSG should never have let BR spend the summer kitty if they were gonna get rid of him after a few games.

But that probably means we have to be prepared write of this season. Are we all of the same view though? I think somebody has already posted that tomorrow is a must win game... and FSG may have set a target of achieving 4th spot this season?

I said its a must win and is especially if we have designs on top 4. Maybe I just expected too much to have a good reaction from the players?

But I think changing managers the way we did and after the poor start, we have to write this one off and just get as high as we can and maybe get a cup run going.

fair point. I think we're all so 'punch drunk' from our performances over so many months that we should perhaps just take each game at a time, try to enjoy them and just see where we are towards the end of the season.

Yeh. I think Klopp's first 2 games has proved we can't expect anything this season and that's not his fault. Only a few players have seemingly stepped up a bit from where they were for him.

Maybe with a few January signings (as long as they're not 'injury prone' (thought I'd get the buzz words in!)) we might make a decent fist of the league especially with others making a hash of it so far.

Klopp off 0-0

That job interview was going so well until I realized I was fukked up on acid in the middle of a cornfield naked and talking to a scarecrow.

Our only hope is that some of these highly paid nob heads actually step up and do something! Need Benteke fit too as I can't see any goals coming from Origi.

Looking at our first two games under this new regime, I'm fully prepared for the worst. we could be in for a hammering, given how disjointed and ineffectual we now are. Also Klopp's training methods look like it's leaving the players totally knackered and very much at sea as to what they're trying to do. If they play like they did in those two games, we're done for, no question about it.
This game could well be a seminal moment, as win it and there'll be a significant boost, lose or draw and the Klopp shine will have tarnished even further, and the already low morale and confidence will take a further hit. This is a home game against a side we should expect to beat and as such is a MUST WIN game, else CL qualification is just another pipe dream, and that for me is unacceptable, our target must always be the title, and failing that CL qualification as an absolute minimum.
