Alonso and Masch went before FSG came in to be fair to them.

Very pleased with an away point at a side who took City apart 4-1.

Massive change for me- some steel, dogged defending, chasing all over the pitch to win the ball back, Mignolet shout for best game for me in a Liverpool shirt.

Not going to slate Origi as he has come in out his depth and tried his hardest but observations were that he didn't show particularly great pace (Ings is faster)he got in some good positions but £10 million shows why hopefully that ludicrous transfer policy is behind us.

With a few to come back of quality we should start to kick on at last.

Only caught the highlights,on Motd, wasn't much of them either. How did Can and Moreno play?

They played well, close to their personal best. Worst player was Coutinho IMO.

Neither played well.

Slight improvement from Can, still lacks creativity and was a bit sloppy.

Moreno was OK. Poor decision making going forward (over confident in his shooting abilities) and defensively. Still turning his back on the ball and doing aimless flicks and hoofs to no one.

It's all the same though, as they'd probably have been first on the sale list anyway, so for me the list stands...along with the indictment.

This was encouraging I thought, a definite change in direction.

'Collectively, Liverpool’s players covered more distance, and made more sprints, than in any of their previous Premier League games this season. They were also the first side to outrun Tottenham, the most effective pressing team in the division'

No that performance would have been met with criticism if it wasn't for the fact that our manager only had 3 days to work with the players.

It was a good result all the same.

I don't even know how increased running stats can be seen as a positive. Klopp has a different style of play which involves more intense running, how does that make it better than a slow possession game where there is less running required if the result is exactly the same?

And to be honest with this increased exertion we didn't see an improvement in performance or result. Now the players will need longer to recover and there is also an increased risk of injury as Klopp also found out in his last season at Dortmund.

Overall a positive and promising start. I'm not having a go at Klopp, I just don't want people to take stats out of context.

I think you answered your own post in the first line RS, add to that the players actually looked like they gave a bollox.
To me for now it's not about high pressing versus possession but more about setting a level of expectation with the players we have.
