So when was the last time you all felt this euphoric about a manager and player joining our club?

To be honest, people have mentioned Joe Cole and Harry Kewell as being standout moments for our club in other forums, moments when we were all buzzing they were joining our club.

Myself I was pretty blah for the both of them.

For myself it would have to be learning Rushie was rejoining us from Juve.

I really do hope all this works out we have got some utter sh-te in the squad and he can only do so much although I do think there is a really good first 11 in there somewhere as for a feel good factor when somebody was joining the club John Barnes dlidnt fail to meet my excitment and expectations when he came amazing wouldn't cut it .

I forget how long i have felt honestly that the club and team could be a force again in the EPL and in Europe.
At least 20 years, probably more.
I am a child of the sixties and was blessed with worshipping the teams of years past. What wonderful teams and such success.

Jurgen Klopp looks the goods though. Smart. Passionate. Football brain. Heart and soul is football. Loves pressing attacking play.
And needs to win, hates to lose.

He has to be the future of LFC.

I can't see any other candidate who could rescue this club and get us back where we belong. Champions of England and Champions of Europe for at least a decade.

The last time was 2014 when we almost won the title sadly faded away. As for Klopp very excited but he has won nothing yet and only has potential to at the moment

The first Torres match against the Chavs when he gave it 5h1t back to JT and then later after he got his first hat trick.

I knew we had the real deal then.

Difference being that he IS a proven manager at the top level, he DOES have trophies to back him up and he is generally liked by most people. So while he hasn't won anything for Liverpool yet, nothing wrong with being excited to see what he can do.

was pretty happy when Rafa signed!
Klopp is sensible and hasn't made any outlandish statement but seems to show belief in the ability of the players! One part of his press conference really stood out was when he said something along the lines of, I wasn't supposed to be here yet.....I thought it would be in June next year! He's obviously been watching us and sees ability in the players but believes our game plan needs to be simple, passionate and enthusiastic! I love his philosophy already. Let's hope he achieves what we've all been waiting for within 4 years like he said!

Absolutely. Once I heard that we had signed the Welsh Xavi, I just knew it was game over for every other club in the PL.
