Easily capable of top 4.
I don't this is all knee-jerk. We had the suarez hangover and most were just hoping this season would improve. It hasn't, players don't look like they're trying/enjoying it, too many changes/formations/out of positions etc.. and more quality signings that suddenly look average.
It's time to go. Time to find out if all these buys really are as bad as people think, or another manager can get more out of them. I think it's the latter.

Players need to be played in their preferred positions. How can anyone in this team even try and manage when all that will happen is they get benched by BR for going against his instruction?

Sorry now our players are no different from any other players in other teams.. the manager is responsible for bringing them in and setting them up...if he brings in crap ones and sets them up horribly then it has nothing to do with the players. Its BR and FSG both have taken us in the most horrible of directions. I actually hate us, been a fan all my life and even when we fell apart we had players that played like they wanted to restore our glory days. Now I look at that squad and just think they are pay check players. Worst time to be a lfc fan ever, u could say hodgeson and hicks was worse but least we had gerrard, carra etc ..this current [oops] is just [oops] Weren't you the one who said all of Rafas success was down to Alonso effectively managing the team? If so, why can the current crop not find it within themselves to do better regardless of the manager? They're all top level pros who know the game and should be able to do better I would think? I'm not trying to excuse Rodgers failings but the players need to turn up too, which it looks like they haven't. If ever there was a game to be up for this was it! They're not all 'top level pros' though. They may be playing in a top level league but that doesn't make them top level. Let's take just the defence, which should provide a solid foundation for a top team. Every single position has some uncertainty about it, whether it's because of youth (Gomez, Clyne), technical deficiencies (Skrtle, Lovren, Sakho, Mignolet) or mental problems (Mignolet, Lovren). We can't blame them for not being good enough as long as they're giving their best. The problem lies entirely with whoever is recruiting, coaching and managing these players. Rodgers has a significant role in all three aspects.

We don't have a player anywhere near the ability, brains and style as alonso. I am sure the players yesterday were playing to BR's plan -i.e get a 0 -0 draw. BR is killing them

On the pitch our players look lost and petrified to lose, this is because they are not well prepared as the manager is lost himself

Rodgers has a significant role in all three aspects. Yes they are all top level pros except maybe Gomez. Just because they have faults as most players do doesn't mean they aren't or no players would be classed as top level.

Typical you! Regardless of the managers setup or deficiencies, this is utd away! If you can't get yourself up for that then there's no hope!

Its both,or all 3 if you count FSG,some of these players just ain't good enough.
That job interview was going so well until I realized I was fukked up on acid in the middle of a cornfield naked and talking to a scarecrow.

If BR had an alonso or a Suarez he would do well as has been proved. If he has only crap players and asks them to drop deep and not attack ,then that is only his fault. How do you confuse yourself so easily.
