As an ex-pat who has spent the last 18mths between Australia and Thailand I have had to follow the reds on the box.
Some observations from afar:-
Superb - Pepe was magnificent again and Torres must be retained whatever the cost.
Good - Insua seemed to grow as the season went on and Kyrgiakos proved to be a good buy when needed as cover.
Average - By their own standards Gerrard, Carragher and Mach were not influential.
Poor - Kuyt, Benny, Johnson ( cant defend so must be more effective going forward )
[oops]-poor - I am convinced that Babel must be Rafas love child. In every respect he is pathetic, andLucas I am afraid flattered to deceive last year.
Worthwhile - Ngog has skill and only needs some bulk and Ayala is showing real composure.
Finally Rafa. I do not think he can now motivate the dressing room, he and his ideas look tired so sorry has to go.
Thoughts from afar, wish I was there with you all

Hi
Wonderfull, golf courses to die for, sun and lovely willing ladies and everone is a Reds fan. Only manc fans are visiting yanks.
Still I would swap it for my seat in the Centenary stand watching us whip the [oops] out of the mancs.

I think we'd all swap you sunning it up on a golf course if it meant us being ahead of the Mancs. I have to listen to all those glory chasing Yanks go on about how successful they are (Mancs that is). Sick of it.Agree with much of what you had to say. However, while I like parts of Ngog's game and I think he's gonna continue to develop into a more dangerous player. His back to goal and link up play is very poor. He's very careless in possession but think he can improve.I feel Insua was very naive at times and cost us games (Lyon home and away), but again a player that can develop into a top player.
Watch out for those She-men over their!...so I've been told...

lol!
i think everyone except pepe and torres was poor. more patience needs to be shown to ngog who i think will develope. insua had a decent season considering all the games he played. it was his first proper season and a few mistakes were expected. thank god for pepe and nando or we might have ended in the bottom half of the league

Horror of horrors, found out that the S African satelitte channel I get my Reds matches is shutting down the signal because of pirating during the world cup.
The local Thai channel is UBC which I dislike because 90% of the programmes are for the Manc tossers.
Incidentely as the Thais have difficuly pronouncing thier Rs I was pleased to hear a lo0cal informing his mate that LAFA must go.
Seems to fit well
