Yes Gomez looks great I would not worry about the bookings as for benteke he has some pace but not lightening he was ponderous a few times tonight

Bent eke should have gone off when it was clear he wasn't going to score, but I don't think Rodgers was bothered by that as he was clearly looking for a draw. Rafa would have been blasted by the fans tonight for not even attempting to attack.
I could understand people being happy with the draw if we played like Madrid did last night whereby they had 27 shots and non stop attacked the opposition, but we didn't even look like wanted a win.

Did you watch the game? Did you see us hit the post and cross bar and Cech's saves from Milner, Benteke and Firmino? I can't wait until we attempt to attack the opposition.

So much more solid that last yr and Benteke suits us.
Skrtel was monster tonight, Gomez is just amazing at 18 -like signing an 18yr Maldini. Coutinho looks ready to take the prem by storm - firimno very very promising...signs are good for a good season. Pity I couldn't watch the game, I'm in the US and was in meetings. I checked on BBC and saw they had 66% possession, I suppose we were well organised defensively then.

But for Cech it would / could possibly have been 3. Who knows.
Good signs as the season progresses though.

Arsenal had lots of possession and put us under he cosh in the 2nd half but in the first we hit the post and cross bar and Cech saved a point blank effort from Benteke that he should have buried. They had a good goal disallowed for off side but only really had one clear cut chance apart from that despite their pressure. Happy with a point in the end but we should have been 2 or maybe 3 -1 up at half time.

Excellent performance and a well earned point. We looked solid tonight and we gave them plenty to think about in their final third. Back 4 and Migs were excellent when they put us under pressure and Mlner is a top top player.
I'm not exactly what it is that people are unhappy about.
Personally I'm delighted. Come on the Reds
