Based on the financial figures released.

Which coach in the world will want to manage liverpool based on the current financial position? Which coach will we attract?

what price range of player will we be able to afford?

Sacking Rafa, or Rafa leaving will change absolutely nothing until the coach can be supported with adequate money.

This is why i cant see Rafa being sacked. Cos it would be very difficult to attract a murinho, Rijkaard, Hodgson with the americans in charge.

No coach will come to LFC knowing he needs 5 new players and his budget will be 20 million. Why would Hodgson want to even join us and take on more pressure?

Unless the yanks leave. Things will remain teh same or get worst, no matter who the coach is. We will slip further down the table while city will climb higher up.

I think the bigger problem now is the owners, coz they are sucking club money and debt is getting worse. Keep rafa for now coz we cant afford to sack him and second i think bringing a new manager now wont change things

Spot on Joe but where do you get the budget of £20m from?

He will have no money and it doesn't appear to be guaranteed that he will get all the money from sales.

Same as last season, no doubt we'll keep ourselves happy speculating on who we're going to sign, having the papers linking us to players we cant afford and then we can fight amongst ourselves whilst the Americans count their cash.

I have to say Stevie G is going to go to start with...

Based on the new deal with Standard Chartered, its worth 20 mill per year. if you need 5 players, then its 5mill per player.

We could buy teh equivalent of lucas for that money. lol

there are plenty opinions from fans, and plenty want sack the coach and dismantle the team. These issues we have are a result of a problem, The real problem are the americans. Here is what Thommo had to say in the echo today: (It might look as though i copied what thommo says) Lol, i didnt.

“The likes of Roy Hodgson, Martin O’Neill, Guus Hiddink and Jose Mourinho have been mentioned but would any of them come amid all the turmoil and if there’s no money to spend?,” he added.

“I hate the speculation about Torres and Gerrard leaving and I’m expecting it to go on right through the summer.

“There are no guarantees that even if we sold Torres, the manager would be able to use the cash to strengthen the squad.

“In a way it doesn’t matter whether Rafa stays or goes because until the club is sold we’re going nowhere.

“People are saying chairman Martin Broughton needs to sort out Rafa’s future but he wasn’t brought in for that. His brief was to sell the club and that’s what we need him to focus on.

“Martin has to tell the owners what is a proper price for the club and convince them to get the deal done quickly.

“These are worrying times and I’m dreading another transfer window where we have to settle for free transfers and cheap buys.

“It’s frightening where the football club is going. I fear for my club.”
