Harry Kane was undoubtedly the major breakthrough star of 14/15 with a couple of other youngsters showing a bit of their worth like - Jordan Ibe - Liverpool Emre Can - Liverpool James Wilson - Manchester United Ruben Loftus-Cheek - Chelsea Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain - Arsenal (started to make a proper name for himself) James Ward-Prowse - Southampton Saido Berahino - West Bromwich Albion Jack Grealish - Aston Villa John Stones - Everton
I've probably missed a few. Which young stars impressed you last season?
Ones to watch out for this season.
Arsenal - The Ox will become a prominent feature this season I imagine. If Gnabry is given a chance he will impress.
Villa - Grealish is the main one here. Jerell Sellers has been scoring goals in pre-season so will be interesting if he gets a chance.
Chelsea - Hope to see more of Loftus-Cheek.
Everton - Will Barkley kick on this season? Deulofeu is a good young player but will he make headlines?
Liverpool - I'm a bit bias but I think Gomez, Teixeira (if given the chance) and Ibe will have very good seasons. For me, LB is now Gomez' to lose.
Man City - Yeah, they do have some good youth. Everyone knows Sterling by now I'm sure. Have been impressed with Denayer in pre-season. Marcos "Rony" Lopes is a classy player. Iheanacho looks a good prospect up top when Aguero is out.
Manchester United - Pereira could be some player, needs a chance! Depay looks to have fit in seamlessly. If United don't get another striker then I imagine Wilson will get a fair few games.
Newcastle - Chancel Mbemba is a BEAST! I'll be amazed if he doesn't get into their first team very quickly.
Southampton - Ward-Prowse will likely cement his place in their first team this season, though at whose expense?
Spurs - Harry Kane will kick on this season I feel. Maybe top scorer? Dele Alli, was devastated we didn't get this lad and I think he will turn into a top player. Didn't look out of place against Madrid last night, megging Modric and all...
Stoke - Mohamed El Ouriache, I'll be honest I haven't seen him play but have heard people raving about his potential so he'll be one to watch out for if he gets a game.
West Brom - So much uncertainty surrounding Berahino's future but he's a very good player. Good move by him to get rid of that muppet of an agent.
Have I missed any (under 23) that you think will have a breakout season?

Gomez wants to play centre-back, if you watch/read his interviews he quite clearly states that. If i was him and BR played me at LB all year, i'd have no problem leaving. Need to watch out for that sh1t

Have to agree on Gomez. Wow the lad looks a player all right!

Yeah, he wants to play CB but he's 18 years old and I'm sure he'd have no hesitations playing at full back for a year or two to prove his worth and get first team football. Carragher played full back when he started out as well.

Bellerin was a stand-out at Arsenal. Grealish is good but a bit over-rated to be honest. Loftus-Cheek is decent at Chelsea. Everton always have a couple. Barkley needs to step up now. Liverpool have had Sterling, and then inducted Ibe. City don't bring players through. They have bought Sterling. Utd haven't had "great" talent come through in a while, comparable, at best, to Grealish' level. Newcastle have Sammy Ameobi who could step up. Southampton have had Ward-Prowse but little making its wau through now. Spurs have too many to play. How many are near top talent? Townsend (perhaps), and Kane... West Brom have Berahino (for now)...
Truth is, I'd like to see more come through, because a lot do make good impressions. Liverpool proved that with Flanagan. United have proven it with Blackett and McNair... They can cut it when drilled correctly.
This season, who knows?! I'd like to see Pritchard and Galloway to come through at Spurs and Everton, I'd like to see City's talents like Maffeo and Iheanacho come through. The truth is that there are too many players deemed "experienced" that block the pathways to these kids... Rolando Aarons is one I expect to make an impression this year if given the chance.
If you want to see talent come through, the Championship is primed for blooding players. It is about time the FA set up a system that promoted teams to set up links to lower divisions to get younger players playing competitive football.

Milner is 29 and an England International, whereas Gomez hasn't even made his fist PL match yet - even from the bench. Don't you think there is a small small difference between the two cases?
