not really bothered if it means that we improve. We have a lot of new players to bed in again!!!

Yeah, what is it now...6 or 7 again this season... must be close on 30 players signed in the last 3 seasons! And yet there’s a number of areas crying out for strengthening!! Has anything like this, ever been seen anywhere, in any league, in the world, ever before??
Now as you and others say, if we improve, perhaps we can find it in our hearts to forgive such criminal waste of resources, but mind you, we didn’t improve in the last two seasons before this one, so it’s an open question for now!

We have a gaping issue in the central defence and I don't need until January to see that. However, this changing 75% of the team thing doesn't work so well if I recall.

I think we might sign one or two more and that's contingent on getting balo, lambert and borini off our books. In the wider context it doesn't look a lot given some of the teams bar United have even started spending.

Fourth looks harder and harder each season. Hope the owners realize that. And it's not just spending it but doing it wisely. So far it has been just slightly above average.

There is no such thing as zero net spend, I think people are forgetting the signing on fees and wages which are determined at the start of the transfer aswell. Benteke is costing us 51m on a 5 year contract.

Not true. When you sell a player you don't keep up paying his wages, so there is a reduction in total spend including wages. Of course there can be zero net spend, you can even make a profit, ask Southampton.
