So far our net spend would have been around 20m after Benteke joins us.
If we can sell
Borini for 8m Mario for 8m Rickie for 4m
We'd have achieved zero net spend this summer.
How's that for a transfer window?

If we've improved as a whole, I'm not too bothered by the net spend. It's been skewed by the Sterling sale a bit but who knows what it would've been without it.

How's that for a transfer window? Not sure you’re right there mighty, Firmino was reported to cost 29m Benteke is to cost 32.5m and Cline cost 12.5m and I think there’s other bits and bobs, to be added, so We get 35m for £ Sterling after we pay the 25% sell on fee, so I’d say its 30m net. However if you then subtract the TV, Sponsorship, merchandising, theres a big pile of coppers hanging out somewhere...forensic audit required??

I couldn't care less about net spend, not in a league with the likes of Utd, Chelsea & City. One thing for sure tho, we need to get at least 2 of those strikers off the books. Any of them that stay are clearly waiting out their contract (maybe not Lambert to an extent as he has ties to the club, but he must know himself his minutes will be few and far between)

I think we'd be better saving any extra money we have til January. We've already brought in alot of player. Lets give then time to gel before bringing more in. That way we can assess where we need to strengthen most

Not pulling it back to zero (after the possible sales of the three unwanteds) but you're dickking about with the figures there Herc. If You're subtracting the Sterling fee to QPR, then you have to add in that Ferminios fee only rises to £29 mil with add ons The there have been sales of Coates, Aspas and the like... plus Ged and Glenson off the books... either way, I'd rather we were way over budget and actually competed.

I'd be quite dissapointed to see anyone else come in - bar a proper, proper marquee signing.

How's that for a transfer window? Don't think you are right in your figures, we must be 30m in net spend right now and would be happy to get 5m for Borini

Absolutely agree Donut, It’s all about competing and we should invest enough to ensure we can compete with the best, otherwise what’s the point, this club’s always been about always competing and regularly winning.
