Looking at our purchases & sales, plus the transfer dealings of the other EPL clubs that play in Europe, does anyone thing that we will finish anywhere other than 5th next season?
I think we've done enough business to overtake Spurs but the top 4 looks a million miles off. Our best chance was if Utd struggled with CL games next season but the players they are bringing in pretty much blows that glimmer of hope out of the water. City have nabbed one of our best players and are talking about buying a few more top names. Chelsea will no doubt strengthen and so will Arsenal. And the top 4 clubs will NOT be adding people like milner, bogan, and origi to their ranks!!!!

Yeah, any comparative analysis would lead to your conclusion and it would be very hard to argue against it. Our only hope is that we might yet sign a top class striker and a top central defender with a beast of a defensive mid, but that's just hope, well probably add several more prospects, regardless of their positions, it's all about financial considerations with performance taking a back seat to policy. Winning is not part of the strategy, but more of an accident if it were incredibly to accidentally happen.

I don't see top 4 in the making this season.There is currently no vast improvements that have been made for us to compete.Even if United struggle it's still a long way off for us. Teams like City and Chelsea don't settle for average, they also get rid of any deadwood within the ranks.I seriously think it's a lack of ambition by LFC. I could be wrong, I hope I'm wrong.

They've bought an un-proven winger and an aging German who hasn't been fully fit for 4 seasons and never played outside of Germany. Not big money so not a massive risk though. I can't see us getting in the top four based on all of the evidence at hand. I feel we have improved the side over last season but just don't see who we're going to replace from last seasons top four. It'd take a blinder of a season from us and luck where injuries and suspensions are concerned.
