Looks like Atletico decided to cut it short. Well done.

A statement on Atletico's website read: "Javier Manquillo will not fulfil his second season on loan with Liverpool.

"The player and Atletico Madrid decided that the player would go to Anfield for two seasons to enjoy the necessary minutes to continue growing football-wise.

"However, in this first season with the Reds, the defender has not had all the minutes he and our club consider necessary for that purpose of accumulating experiences in his sports growth."

i think it was a mistake to let kelly go. i really liked the lad. think he could be a very good cb

He was growing fast into the starting XI as a rb before his long injury stint.

From when he returned back he sadly was pure pants IMO.

I agree, I thought he was looking the real deal before his injury problems.

Hope Flanno don't suffer the same fate.

He had the second or third most tackles in the Prem last year. Kelly was a beast before the injury. Saying he just wasn't good enough is unfair.

I also quite like Wisdom. Thought he was very good 2 years ago.

No great loss. At best he was average.

Furious about this. Would have preferred we kept him and didn't sign Clyne.
