Yeah I'm with you. Make do with what we have up top and Martinez would make us a lot stronger in midfield whilst helping the defence ten fold by giving them a proper shield.

Doesn't mean he'll do it for us, although at least he's 24 so if he does do well it could be a transfer thats worth it's weight in gold over the years.

True and it just goes to show how desperate we are in both positions really. Difficult to choose between a striker and decent defensive midfielder.

He's had two injuries that have kept him out for more than 1 month in his whole career and he's 26 years old. His latest injury kept him out for 8 months but that is standard for a cruciate ligament rupture.

Bit unfair to call him injury prone based on one long term injury.

I think he was referring to Benteke as injury prone and his choice was Martinez.

Kovacic would be top class signing. Midfield should be priority especially with the likes of Allen still here and Lucas seemingly on his bike.
