What an absolute load of rubbish.
'Not sell him and stick him in the reserves'?
Why wouldn't you not sell him and play him considering he is one of our best players and the player with the most potential.
Usual unambitious fans making up any excuse not to want Sterling to succeed at Liverpool.
Its got to stage now where fans are more bothered about one of our own player's downfall than our own club.
Expectations really have been managed.
The team and the club is bigger than any individual. The club provided Sterling with an opportunity and an environment in which he could flourish. He played alongside Suarez and Gerrard from whom he must've been able to learn so much. He strayed off line off the pitch yet the club stood by him. Yet he still allows his agent to talk rubbish, gives an unauthorised interview on national tv, and sits back without uttering a word of support or gratitude for the club whilst all this uncertainty goes on.
We don't need any rotten apples in our barrel when the season starts. If he changes his ways then fine. Otherwise he sits in the reserves and we only sell if/when the price is right.
It seem your expectations have been well managed rather than mine. We are now a club that accepts a manager who has consistently put out a team that is defensively shocking; a manager who bends over backwards to keep on the right side of a 20 year old kid; where the same kid with an attitude problem is 'one of our best players'; where fans now accept, as you seem to be, that we are nothing more than a team of players with potential - including our best players.
