I clicked on the interesting article and you will never guess this but it's an article extolling the virtues of brendan Rodgers. I would never have predicted that

How many more approaches can you possibly dream up to say the same thing?

You think Brendan Rogers is a very good manager. OK, we know, you've only spun it 150 different ways, now can we move on please?

Government is not reason; it is not eloquent; it is force. Like fire, it is a dangerous servant and a fearful master.

I think he is using the technique the Chinese used on captured american and British prisoners in the Korean War. It was known as brainwashing and eventually the prisoners converted to communism.

I was shocked and astounded that it was a nothing article about the 'opinion' a player gave about his manager while he was still palying for him. From 6 months ago. The OP undersold it, truly a remarkable and interesting read and means more than nothing whatsoever

That same manager that forced him out by not picking him for the Madrid game and not offering him a new contract.

He didn't force Gerrard out. He wanted to manage his game time which is the right approach for a 35 year old and Stevie didn't want that so he left.

Bottom line is, he didn't handle Gerrard's situation well and the latter took the decision to leave. Giggs for example didn't play all games but stayed, it's all in the way managers handle their employees.
