You seem to see everything positive or probably hoping that it is positive, that's your right of attitude/opinion. However, you want everybody to have the same opinion/attitude and you don't like people voicing their concerns or questioning decision. The latter crowd has beed more right to be concerned as proved afterwards, which means it is a legitimate feeling and this is a debate forum in any case. Who is ridiculous then? Think over it.

Hold on. It's not the assistant who's going to make or break our season.

He had players like billy sharp who were brilliant at the time and a lot of those players moved onto bigger things. As did he. He got the forest or wolves job. Although it didn't work out for him at those clubs. He was unlucky not to get another decent job. A lot of managers today get thrown into a job because of the rep they had as a player.

Other get thrown in because the board were not prepared. Like Southgate at boro or monk at Swansea.

Give this guy a chance. He is all about fast paced high pressing football. Which is what we stepped away from last year.

If the assistant manager wasn't important then we wouldn't have replaced pascoe

Good post, and I’m reserving judgement on him for now. I see his appointment as reflecting FSG’s disappointment at the lack of technical improvement in the multitude of prospects they’ve recruited, as many of them seem to have regressed, consequently the sacking of Marsh and Pasacoe. For all our sakes I hope it works out, but I think iwith some of them it’s a case of trying to make silk purse’s out of sow’s ear’s. I hope to be proved wrong and that’s a possibility as with good coaching, sound tactics and selection teams can become more than their individual parts, it’s what we desperately need, and for once I support FSG’s decision to do something rather than nothing.
