Sean o'driscoll was a sought after manager when he was at Doncaster. He played really good football and lit up the league. I only remember this as I really started to look for their results and created saves on football manager/champ man /Fifa etc.
He had players like billy sharp who were brilliant at the time and a lot of those players moved onto bigger things. As did he. He got the forest or wolves job. Although it didn't work out for him at those clubs. He was unlucky not to get another decent job. A lot of managers today get thrown into a job because of the rep they had as a player.
Other get thrown in because the board were not prepared. Like Southgate at boro or monk at Swansea.
Give this guy a chance. He is all about fast paced high pressing football. Which is what we stepped away from last year.
If the assistant manager wasn't important then we wouldn't have replaced pascoe
I think an assistant manager is important but do question the appointment of this guy. The biggest change that has happened at the management level is this guy who is unknown to most and whose track record is poor, is this going to make a difference? No wonder there are so many doubters.
