yeah nothing to do witha bigger better club with much better players who show ambition every yeah and have a far better chance of winning things. Come on mate.

Obvious init.

Compared to Sterliung, Gerrard has clearly left the club for money but his 5hit will never stink.

How big of a part do you think he would've played next season? Any footballer wants to play football and not get benched accept for a few examples who goes after money. Look lets be honest SG is past his prime it's no secret, but Sterling is suppose to be the future and who still needs more time and experience to develop into that world class player that he already think he is.

Agree, he might win a medal or two sitting on the bench (arguably thats the point) but not playing week in week out like at LFC will kill this kids progression. He'll end up being another Lennon, Wright-Philips, Sinclair, Rodwell... the list goes on.

So he'd go there for a modest pay increase or, lets say, for double what he gets now which is more than enough to keep him for life? I know, I know, why would he when they're players are all on more and that's what they'll offer but if it's not about money and just his ambition then why not?

His head has been turned by his agent who will also be in for a massive pay day (and has tried the same with Berahino I think). He has been playing regularly for a club that has bent over backwards for him and has even played him when he's been shitte for most of the season.

He'll go sit on their bench and get a medal or two for it so good luck to him. But don't lie to us and don't fool yourself that he's not motivated by the ££'s.

You said "££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££ and nothing more!" which is quite clearly not true. He is motivated by money as much as the rest of us are. But that's only part of the package he will get for moving clubs. If we offered exactly the same as city in terms of remuneration who would choose? City. Why? Because money is very obviously not the only factor. Obviously it is A factor but it's arguably not even the most important factor. You might have trouble accepting it (as I during the Torres saga) but Liverpool are just a 3rd rate team now and he has a chance to jump straight to a 1st rate team. Did Lallana leave Southampton only for money? No he wanted to make a step up to a bigger club AND he wants to get paid more. It's a package and you're lying to yourself if you think the only reason he could want to leave is for money.

As for going there to win medals on the bench, 1. that is very subjective and not everyone would agree with that, some think he will do very well there. But more importantly 2. he is quite obviously an arrogant little sh!t so do you really think he's thinking I'll go there to sit on the bench? He's going there thinking I'm gonna have a fu!king stormer an improve as a player when I play with much better players. So whether or not you think he won't succeed (plenty would agree with you notsaying you're wrong) can't be factored into the lad's decision making. He thinks he's gonna go there and be England's next big thing. So again quite clearly not just about the money.

I'm amazed as to how lightly Liverpool fans are taking our losing of the club's greatest talent. Can see him tormenting our defenses next season. He could be a cvnt but so are most footballers these days, but still a great loss.

Its a great loss no doubt but keeping him would be a mistake as he is unhappy. An unhappy player will not give a shet and just go through the motions. He was doing that pretty much for half a season.

No last min feck ups please.
let's hope it's not part of a new trend, first Tores then Suarez and now Sterling. Time was when very few wanted out of Liverpool. Anyway he should be relatively easy to replace, in fact Ibe, might well surpass him very soon.

Unfortunately more than 20 years have passed since good players did not leave Liverpool. All players, then and now, want to play for a team where they are most likely to win trophies. Unlikely at Liverpool its sad to say,

Yes it is... Silly me...

Fsg, brodge can't match sterling ambition to win trophies or even be serious contenders for trophies

Play for a manager that has won trophies ..

Play in a quality stadium

With quality players around him..
