Money, get away
Get a good job with more pay and you're O.K.
Money, it's a gas
Grab that cash with both hands and make a stash
New car, caviar, four star daydream,
Think I'll buy me a football team

If a company offered me more money I will change jobs immediatly. Nothing wrong with a human being trying to improve the quality of his life. On top of the money Sterling would play with a class of world class players and have more chance of winning the league and champions league. I got nothing against Sterling. If the offer is right good luck to him.

Of course and any of us would do the same. But I wouldn't lie about it like he has. He bangs on about winning things and that's his only motivation which is bullsh!t as if it was he'd go for a modest pay increase. If he can get satisfaction for winning things while warming a bench then so be it as for me he's not good enough (yet?) to be starting regularly for anyone better than us.

Debatable that imo.

Personally, I wouldn't if I was already very happy doing what i was doing, and then to step into the unknown.
Grass is always greener on the other side...........

Money is NOT actually everything, granted it's a help, but i'd rather be content happy and skint than loaded and dreading each day.

No last min feck ups please.
let's hope it's not part of a new trend, first Tores then Suarez and now Sterling. Time was when very few wanted out of Liverpool. Anyway he should be relatively easy to replace, in fact Ibe, might well surpass him very soon.

.. I think the trend is already established !

Good luck to Sterling.

Even if most of the fans commenting on this thread can't see it. He was shown exactly what the club and more importantly what FSG is about.

Obvious init.

Compared to Sterliung, Gerrard has clearly left the club for money but his 5hit will never stink.

So he'd go there for a modest pay increase or, lets say, for double what he gets now which is more than enough to keep him for life? I know, I know, why would he when they're players are all on more and that's what they'll offer but if it's not about money and just his ambition then why not?

His head has been turned by his agent who will also be in for a massive pay day (and has tried the same with Berahino I think). He has been playing regularly for a club that has bent over backwards for him and has even played him when he's been shitte for most of the season.

He'll go sit on their bench and get a medal or two for it so good luck to him. But don't lie to us and don't fool yourself that he's not motivated by the ££'s.
