Reports that we have agreed a 12.5million fee with Southampton for Clyne.

How gutting must that be for Man Utd, in a matter of a few days we have swooped for 2 Man Utd targets.

Can someone explain to me how we're doing all this business when the transfer window doesn't open until 01/07 please, or have I got that completely wrong?

I think free transfers such as Bogdan and Milner can be finalised before the transfer window opens because the players are out of contract. The other signings such as Ings and Fermino are agreed in principle (I assume this could include pre-contract agreements) but cannot be finalised until July 1st. That's how I think it works anyway mate.

Everything is just done in principle without registration until July 1st, right? Could be done with in-comings in the next week or so, a month + to ship out the ones we don't want.
