Scored 49 goals in 99 Villa games. Hopefully he goes to Man U or Chelsea another injury prone striker with no work ethic. Priced at 32.5 million will we really be that stupid?

Looks like Andy Caroll with more ability. Mario on a good day is betetr than Benteke. We almost never put crosses in the box why are we even linked?

He is very very good thats why. We will sign him and we will be happy we did. Injury record is a bit of a concern , apart from that can't go wrong, he ain't no andy carroll and certainly no Mario balotelli.

I'm sorry but this is absolutely laughable, no work ethic, looks like Andy Carroll & Balotelli having a 'good day', have you ever seen a game of football before or have you just decided to give it a try? I'd suggest the OP has absolutely know clue what he's talking about.

I agree with EMP, Benteke's injury record is the only concern for me & of course Villa's valuation. He's a million miles from the Andy Carroll & he's a fairly hard working forward, nothing like Carroll or Balotelli. He's much than a target man too, he's fast & has a lot of ability on the ball. I would say Benteke for £20million would be good for us.

The very notion of Balotelli having a good day, ha that's a good one.

Some might not rate Benteke, some might have their doubts but he is not as bad as the OP makes out. Also 49 goals in 99 games for what has been a terrible Villa side over the last few years is a damn good record.

Benteke for 32.5 million is a similar waste of money as the 35 million we spent on Carroll.

I agree that Bacca might fit our style more and he will be cheaper than Benteke and probably on lower wages as well.

Also a good bit older tho. I'd be delighted with Benteke , thrilled . If he stays fit he is a beast of a player , tasty free kicks, great in the air and powerful shot on him.

He reminds me of Heskey.

Physically rather than ability I would say.

He s good when on the field and is a handful for even the best defenders, but as Sixties says, do we need another injury prone striker to chat on the bench with Sturridge while we slump to another 50 goal season? If we could be confident he'd stay fit I'd sign him, but it's too risky given the Sturridge factor, there must be someone else, be it Bacca or another.
