Liverpool have reportedly sealed a five-year deal for Brazil star Roberto Firmino.

The Hoffenheim ace, also a target of Manchester United, seems set to join Liverpool as a possible replacement for Raheem Sterling.

Brazilian news outlet Globoesporte are reporting that the Reds have agreed a £17.8million deal for him.

Despite interesting Utd he is signing for us it seems. Happy days.

But we still need a top striker, and without wishing to denigrate the now Liverpool signed Ings, he's not it.

If he's coming in as a striker and we don't bring someone else in, it's a big mistake. If he's coming in as an AM then it basically spells the end for either Lallana or Markovic.

Sounds like we're really in for Firmino, he can play across the front three positions so would be a replacement for Sterling I'd imagine.

A lot of noise being made about Liverpool holding talks with Firmino, Bacca and Rondon.. Surely all three aren't a real possibility?

Maybe not it will however mean we'll have a strong bench plus they can be rotating for different games.
