Darcus - Alright I see what your saying but I do think what he did might have put off some clubs.

Other than Aguero and maybe Costa, Sturridge is the best striker in the top 4 (when fit obviously). When Suarez was banned he stepped up to the plate so he can do it. I think its best just to say we don't agree on Coutinho because I think he's easily top 4 quality. But that's just my opinion and I might be biased.

Sturrage is a write off Unfortunetly his injury looks to be career threatening countinho you could put up an argument but that does not change my assertion this is the lowest quality liverpool squad in living memory even five years ago we had players who would walk into any premiership side and you have to ultimately point the finger at FSG they are running the club not rodgers not Ayre not any committee

Nobody wants to sell their best young players. The fact that we are being forced to shows the deficiencies in the overall running of the club. It's not the unambitious fans that want to sell Sterling, it's the woeful handling of the player by LFC that has allowed him such leverage. To say that we shouldn't be selling our best young players is hardly a deeply insightful observation. It's the why they want to leave that should be the focus of the owners. Why, if FSG's policies are so clearly the right way to proceed, have our two most rated players either left or are seeking to leave. Why, Redscouser, is this?

Agreed!

And that is also why it at this point in time will be totally counter productive to try and force these players to stay at LFC. Ultimately they don't want to be here as they feel they have reached a certain individual playing level themselves, or when they feel their ambitions start to exceed those that the club stands for.

It doesn't matter if FSG think their model will lead to the ultimate success. Until we actually reach that level and start winning titles and contend on all fronts we will NOT attract tcp's. The climb to a higher level will be without that type of player in the squad - unless FSG start paying the fees and salaries to accomodate for them.

Why would those players ever want to come to LFC if they can get better salaries and be able to play together with more skilful team mates else where?

We're turning into a stepping stone for potentials.

That job interview was going so well until I realized I was fukked up on acid in the middle of a cornfield naked and talking to a scarecrow.

Yes, and isn't that what FSG have aimed for all the time?

They were talking about buying young potentials with high resale value, rather than ready made experienced players already from the off.

If they follow that strategy all the way through, I guess this is where you ultimately end up.

Ajax comes to mind here - who seem to follow about that route. The difference is that they don't have other clubs competing at the highest level in Holland - such as Chelsea, ManU, Man C and Arsenal do in England.

Success in England can't be reached the same way as is possible in Holland - or in the US (in a totally different sport) for that matter!

FSG have aleady done much more damage than Hicks & Gillette ever did.

This is the poorest Liverpool squad I have ever seen and we currently have a dead duck manager with no coachng staff.

We have become a laughing stock and unfortunately I think the joke is just starting.
