We all know that but interesting and pretty much spot on.
Our problems run deeper than the manager.

Not really new news, not even worth a thread.

So much so you had to say it twice.
Anyway, it's a discussion forum, not just news.

Great article that and a great post. Some of us have raged against the FSG policies, and have had to argue hard against a number of FSG apologists on this forum, and I can only put that down to their lack of empathy with the Liverpool we older fans knew and the ethos we had come to understand. Was it yesterday I posted a question regarding the acceptance of 4 the place as our new annual target, rather than demanding that we compete for top honours, and I don't think I got a single comment of support on this site, just how sad is that. I have also been arguing that targeting Rodgers is irrelevant when it comes to dealing with the real issue facing LFC, but my voice was almost completely drowned out by the clamour for his head, FSG must be sniggering into their burgundy, at such niavietivity and innocence. With a few noticeable exceptions the same thing can be said about my continued opposition to the Mickey Mouse stadium tart up job, only a few posters we're of the same opinion, and most supported FSGs "financial wisdom" by walking away from their implied commitment to finally sort out the stadium issue. It seems that not only do we now have a new breed of owner at LFC, but we also have a new breed of fan to compliment them.

I got made fun of for expecting liverpool won the league this year having almost won it the previous year the poster even dragged out my post from a year ago to pount out the error of my ways. There was a day ALL liverpool supporters thought that way FSG have done a fine job of managing expectations

Inded Stanley, and you've even had to run the gauntlet against much personalised and thinly disguised abuse for your position on both the Stadium and FSG stewardship of this club. But like peace, the truth "comes dropping slow" and perhaps they will learn.

Sadly we have become accustomed to mediocrity.
LFC is nothing but an investment vehicle for FSG, they thought they saw value, bought in and then realised they are out of their depth.
With FFP out of the way and a 15 years late stand under construction the writing is on the wall. They will probably bail at the first opportunity unless something miraculous starts happening on the pitch.
