Yeah his two lieutenants got moved on. He is clearly a yes man, no b@lls, no pride, deflect blame, he doesn't have the standing in the game to bring in experienced replacements himself, so yes the review is gone but he will be out the door soon if he doesn't start performing.

1) Rodgers realises he's inexperienced at the top level and having Pako alongside him would be able to teach them both.
He had his own staff and it didn't work out so the board think he'd benefit from trying out more experienced staff. Thankfully he hasn't let his pride get in the way.
2) It does fail and Rodgers needs to be moved on? We have a capable caretaker who, if he did well, would likely be next in line for the top job.

This works for all parties.

Yep agree with both points.

Also saw a quote that people only want pako because of Rafa. It is known that Rafa and pako fell out so any Rafa loyalists would not want pako.

Soon as pako left, Liverpool started to decline under Rafa.

No offence to Rafa and I think he's a Liverpool legend but I've always believed he'd never have achieved the success he has without Pako.
That includes the time at Valencia as well.

He's been a number 2 or fitness coach or u18 coach his whole career. Regardless of the league. He'll be enjoying his own success. Every manager has to start somewhere.

Rodgers will be on his last legs so this is quite clever on FSG's part... an indifferent start to the season or a prolonged poor spell and he can be binned instantly with a caretaker already in place... failing that the pairing may actually work.

Still absolutely gutted Rodgers hasn't been sacked - sick of seeing his smug face, his awful goal celebrations & listening to or reading absolutely anything the man has to say... honestly can't stand the man.

Thing is, if they sack Rodgers who can they attract? Klopp has been put off if you believe reports as they wouldn't change things for him. We'll get stuck with a caretaker who's probably not good enough until we get another Rodgers a like who'll work under their policies.
