Rodgers is early 40s so he hasn't had time to develop his reputation like the others. Its been FSG's policy not to buy high profile players and instead buy unproven ones with potential. Nothing to do with Rodgers.

You talk about players needing time to settle, yet aren't using the arguement that Kenny needed time for his new players to settle, players who just so happened to come good - Henderson, Suarez....Kenny reached 2 cup finals the season before Rodgers came in, winning 1 of them which enabled them to qualify for Europe. Kenny also lost Gerrard and Lucas for half a season, Suarez served a lengthy ban after Evra gate and there were a number of games which could have gone either way, we also had a record number of shots which hit the woodwork that season.

Clarke and Kenny have gone on record several times stating that they had big plans for the following season which unfortunately had to be scrapped and they said with the team they had, top 4 would have been very likely. Kenny had already agreed to sign Diame on a free, the club were already in talks with Sturridge (Rodgers cancelled talks when he arrived), Rasmus Elm had agreed an 8m move, FSG wanted Dempsey (Rodgers cancelled plans) Kenny had made a 16m offer for Gaston Ramirez.

Rodgers took over, scrapped all plans, signed Joe Allen and Borini for 25 million, told the world we were signing a very exciting player and it turned out to be Assaidi and after our worst start in over a century we finished 7th and were knocked out of cups early doors, was that progress?

Suarez finished 2nd the following season and now without him we finished 6th. So in total after Rodgers has spent over 200 million, we've won no trophies and gone up 2 places in the league in 3 years. Some progress that is, perhaps in another 3 years and another 200 million we might be 4th.

Diame - not good enough (struggles to get in the Hull team)
Elm - not good enough
Dempsey - not good enough
16m for Ramirez and you say Rodgers has overpaid?

Number of shots that hit the woodwork, and?

Rodgers lost Suarez as well for around 8 games for biting

Henderson isn't success because we are only judging players after 1 year. It doesn't matter if Markovic, Origi, Can, Moreno all come good because they are all overpriced failures because they've needed time to settle like Henderson.

Rodgers has spent more, but he's sold more as well.

Finishing 7th was progress - 1 higher than the year before.

Liverpool ended up with 52 points under Kenny, and then they were going to sign Diame and Ramierez and Elm as you say, and because Kenny or Clarke said they thought we were going to finish top 4 you actually believed them?

Another case of superficial fans obsessed with fantasy stories with club legends and wanting big names left, right centre.

Are you deliberately forgetting the cup competitions?

Hopefully they will, isn't The end of season review with the owners today? We should know one way or the other. Their record with both ourselves and their rounders team suggests they are not afraid to get rid when needed but I suspect they are taking advice from Ian Ayre who is is clueless

*competition. Not deliberate no. Sorry I forgot we won the extremely prestigious Carlsberg Cup

Liverpool want premier league and champions league. Not hiding failure with mickey mouse competitions.

City spend more, united spend more, chelsea spend more. So the chances are most seasons they are going to finish ahead of us. One of the reasons why Arsenal have done so well if because they stuck with their manager even when they went trophyless for so long.

If Liverpool didn't switch any personnel over the summer, management or players, we will be in a stronger position as the new recruits from last year will have had more time to settle. So why meddle with switching things around when we haven't given Brendan time to adapt his team since Suarez left?

BR is operating at the highest level in a professional sport and paid accordingly. He cannot be afforded time to faff around and if he's not up to the job (which he clearly isn't) should be jacked off ASAP.

People get annoyed by strikers who miss one golden chance in 90 minutes, the principle is the same with managers but over a far longer period of time. BR couldn't match Andy Carroll for profligacy. Mis-spending millions upon millions of pounds, a complete absence of sensible tactics, ludicrous team selections, and post-match verbal diarrhoea to boot.

Just your (biased) opinion.

Do you want to give your occupational background? What UEFA coaching license do you hold? What managerial experience have you had at the highest level in professional sport?

No I've got no background in football management. I'm using factual information to back up my points. You two are just slating him because you don't like how he speaks in a press conference, or you don't like his teeth, or you would like the excitement of a foreign big name manager. Nothing to do with football. If Kenny had finished 2nd and 6th in the last two season you wouldn't have been on his back.

Yes you are entitled to you opinion, of course you are. But having a go at people for reasons nothing to do with football and making it personal is out of order. If it was Kenny there would been no reaction like this if he had finished 6th (which he never managed in his second spell)

in Kenny's only full season we managed 52 points. Rodgers has averaged 69 points across 3 seasons.
