We need to look at the current situation candidly and honestly.

Our squad is not good enough, we finished 6th.

We are losing Johnson and Gerrard on a free.

Sterling will go this summer.

Borini, Balotelli, Lambert and Lucas could all leave in the summer.

We need a new spine, goalkeeper, commanding central defender, midfielder and striker.

Will cost upwards of 100million plus.

If BR stays FSG reported to give him 50million max which is not enough.

Going by the past 3 years BR will sign the wrong players and he will be sacked before November.

If FSG want the club to succeed they will give Klopp full control and give him full control of transfers in.

Even then he will need 100 million to make the team his own.

I would trust Klopp over finding gems on low fees and wages.
He has done that consistently at Dortmund and succeeded.

Signed Hummells, Subutic, Gundogan, Bender, Reus, Lewandski for peanuts.

BR in contrast has wasted over 200million.

And while I can try to put a positive spin on Ings, Milner etc, they do not thrill me

Agreed Klopp would play Can as a midfield destroyer, and Markovic as a attacking winger.

Those 2 switches would improve me no end.

Klopp would also not continue with thus silly false no 9 tactic which BR loves so much.

Players wud sign for less wages for the right manager ???

Brodge can't attract ie hummels, reus, mika , kono

Have a better chance with klopp, rafa, Carlo type managers

The need for honesty, we are now a team that is no longer a force in the top division.

As fans we are stuck in the glory days, reality is we are just an average team who has wasted its millions on overspending on average players.

Most players do not even remember or were even born the last time Liverpool won the league. Yes we have a history but so do a lot of other clubs, it doesn't mean players will want to play for us.

We have a manager who I believe to be out of his depth. Was last seasons success more down to Suarez skill and determination that influenced the rest of the team to over achieve rather than Rodgers management.

I can't see Liverpool turning this around unless a rich family buy out FSG and invest like Chelsea and Man City did. Even then it still took them time to build a settled team.

I feel Liverpool has said goodbye to its history and now is in the new era of mediocrity.

It doesn't need to be so. The right investment and wage structure and we could be great again

We've been mediocre for the past twenty five years.
