I'm confused by this Webster ruling thing, how does it work? And how much does it costs to buy out your contract? (Obviously i know that depends on the contract, but as a general rule?)

I think he has played his last game for Liverpool.

Just watched Dunk's vid about the Webster ruling. Raheem can't use it at the moment, but from December onwarfs he does have the right to use it. Now, certain things regarding the ruling have changed and basically we would get a decent compensation for him, but it would most likely still be quite a bit less than what we would get feom a regular sale.
His camp have a hand to play, LFC's hand is stronger at the moment i feel, but not by much. It is getting closer to the time when transfer fees will cease to exist and players choose who they are going to play for on a weekly basis.

Well it used to be just the amount due in player wages for the remainder of the contract, but that has since changed to "the value the club owning the player stands to lose"....this is determined by some panel from what i understand, and that means a lot depends on their valuation of the player and so on... The way i see it, we could get close to his real value, so plus minus 20mil, but thats far from what we would get if there was a bidding war and we held all the cards, where we could expect in excess of 30mil.

I think it is a very smart move by the club to call off all contract talks, I think it might just be the wake up call Raheem needs. Might show him that his agent has caused him more trouble than anything.
Surely he has to think to himself now "Hold on, my club, Liverpool, have just called off contract talks with me, they are not willing to talk to me because of comments made by my agent." That has to have him reconsidering things.
If so, it gives him a way out. "I thought about it, i sacked my agent, realised I was ill advised, apologise for what i have put the club and fans through...bla bla bla" . It will get the fans back onside.
He has just been given a way back in by the club, if he chooses to take it.
