I say give Brendan 1 full season to be in control of everything.
As much as im not happy about the current state of the team i feel that the way Gerrard talks about how he wished he'd of worked with him earlier means that he must have something special about him.
Gerrard even mentioned that FSG need to back him this transfer window which spells out that it isnt his fault about the transfers.
What is his fault is that before coming to the club hes agreed to FSG's ridiculous transfer policy.
Sweet jesus Rodgers had a season when he was in control and bought terrible signings! He is proven to be bad at picking acquisitions. We need to give him less control not more.
To be a little bit fair to him, he had peanuts to spend in his first few windows and did manage to get Sturridge and Coutinho. Would be a massively big risk to give him all that control but at least then there would be no grey area in who to blame.
I have to give him credit for Sturridge, I didn't think that would be a good signing but he was. It's pretty well documented Coutinho was in place before Rodgers though. Allen was Rodgers self admitted first 'must sign' player, and he was hardly peanuts. We are damaging our club by allowing Rodgers more money to spend (read waste). Him and the committee need replacing with someone who can pick a player.
