If we have Rafa as tactical manager and rodgers as man manager coach, we'll have a winning formula.
But we all know these things don't ever work out.

We got to 2 semi finals so only one game away from where Kenny got so it isn't drastically worse and in no way was he way ahead of this season. And lets not forget, Suarez has gone, Sturridge has been off most of the season.
That's 3 more games won in the cups. But anyway, do you really think that finishing 3 places higher in the league is a good 'return' on more than 200m investment in players? No I don't think it's a good return. But the question was 'have we regressed?' and in terms of league position no we haven't. Cup form can never really be counted as anything can happen on any given day, Bradford at Chelsea for example. But as I've said, in terms of player for player we have regressed slightly. Well it's impossible to argue with facts and we have clearly progressed in terms of league position, and I think his 200 million for 3 league positions is slightly misleading as other teams have spent money as well. I think the only thing that really matters is if he's getting most of his transfers right to put us in a position to compete for 4th, and with a 2nd highest spend in the league he drastically got it wrong and fell 3 places. so now it's all about competing for 4th what happened to 1st? Expectations being successfully managed? We'll not for me I still want LFC competing for top honours each and every season.

Not managing expectations but 4th is all you need now for the riches of the ECL. Winning the league is a bonus but doesn't get you much more.

so now it's all about competing for 4th what happened to 1st? Expectations being successfully managed? We'll not for me I still want LFC competing for top honours each and every season. I'm not sure 'managing expectations' is a correct decision. Not living in la la land is more appropriate, I believe Rodgers will be here next year, I don't believe we have another 120 million to spend, and I'm aware of the quality (more aptly the lack there of) in the squad, first 11, and in the manager's seat. Thus I'd rather not have a pipe dream about winning the premier league next year when we have none of the personnel for it.

FSG set and control the recruitment and wage policy, they also manage the fans expectations and seem to have done a fine job of it! We should think for ourselves and not be led by the nose like asses by FSG

Rodgers incompetence and pathetic non ability to buy good players means we won't be 2nd 3rd or 4th either. What do you want me/us to do to show our displeasure? Start a thread? Scowl at our never present owners, create a list of Rodgers' appalling value for money signings? It's all be done.
