it has taken him 5 years and he still hasn't built a team - by the time he figures out which positions we need to buy players for the likes of gerrard and torres and reina will all have retired ..... it was obvious what we needed last season and rafa never brought in those players then, why does anyone believe that will be any different this summer??

is it me or is Carragher's HOOF up field becoming really annoying and very sunday league! All he does is hoof it up to their center halfs!

Well thats a bit harsh its not like we have spent nothing jimmie, i am tried of this we had nothing to spend when clearly we have. But i grant not compared to Chelsea or man city's of this world. I mean on average we still spent what 15 to 25 million. Thats more than most in the premier league

without rehasing all this stuff about net and gross spend
we have not spend 15 to 25m on average
that this season we sold alonso, arbeloa, dossena, voronin, leto, and some younger players and we bought aquilain, johnson and maxi, that is a long way form spending 15 to 25 million

just look at united and after one season of no investment in there sqaud they have gone backwards a bit, we have had 3 seasons of that so its no surpise we have gone backwards

I agree its not going to get us the league

But its no excuse for 7th in the league mate

yes we have not spent on the squad but thats not the only reason we haven't done well, i just feel there is more too it then that. I mean look at them bluenoses they don't spend anything and they aren't far behind us this season.

we have not had 3 seasons of no investment - rafa has spent enough money to improve the squad - in fact a top class manager should be able to improve on what he has through good coaching and team talks, a bit of organisation defensively and good tactics .... a bit of bonding to make them want to play for him and getting the substitutions right wouldn't go amiss either
