Double up for Henry and FSG

According to Forbes magazine's most recent survey, Liverpool Football Club is valued at £ 644 M, which gives them an 8:th place on the list of the world's most valuable football clubs.
That's more than twice as much compared to when John W Henry and FSG stepped in and saved Liverpool from bankruptcy for approximately £ 300 M, almost five years ago (in October 2010).

The biggest clubs have become richer as a result of lucrative television contracts and improved sponsorship deals. Premier League and the Champions League are additionally hotter than ever.
LFC is located on the Top 10 list when it comes to followers on social media (7:th place), match day revenue (8), media revenues (9) and commercial revenues (8).

3) Manchester United £ 2,030 M
4) Bayern Munich £ 1,540 M

Amongst those clubs I'd say it's only LFC and Milan who don't back up their position on the list with similar displays on the pitch!

And why do you think anybody would wish to buy the club for 700m or more? If they wanted they would have done it when the banks took over as it was then a distressed or almost distressed asset but I understood then that there was FSG and a Chinese tycoon. The problem is if anybody takes over, he will have to pay a premium unlike when FSG took over and therefore in a worse position in terms of additional investment unless of course that anybody has money to throw away. I rather think that once the stadium is redeveloped there will be an IPO with FSG controlling the majority stake.

It is probably a joke but it will add about 25% of seating capacity and probably more than that in match day revenue with a lot more corporate boxes. If you look at our revenue, this is where we are weaker than the other bigger clubs and this development won't affect our cash flows. If only we could qualify for CL, we would be at par or very close with the other clubs in the EPL in revenues except United. With FFP we will be able to compete, but we will need a top manager who has good experience of European football and knows how to win trophies.
